Tim Shynkaruk Head Coach & Team Manager Sprints / Jumps / Relays
Tim Shynkaruk has been coaching Track and Field for over 30 years. An accomplished sprinter (400m), he took up coaching Track when he began teaching. Mr. Shynkaruk has been the head coach at Kelvin since 2005 when he started teaching there. Under his direction, Kelvin has won a provincial championship every year since 2005 with the exception of 2007 as well as placing many athletes on Canadian and U.S. University teams. Mr. Shynkaruk focuses on all athletes working to perform their own personal best, regardless if they are a beginning athlete or experienced runner.
Lynn Pelland Coach Throws
Lynn Pelland has been coaching with the Kelvin Clippers since 2011. She is a certified Level 2 coach and a Level 3 track officiator. One of her greatest experiences is officiating at the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg. Mrs. Pelland has managed and coached junior high track programs for the past 15 years.
Joël Charrière has been coaching with the Kelvin Clippers since 2013. A former University of Manitoba Bisons pole vaulter, he brings to the program in depth knowledge of the horizontal jumps and is also a trained level 2 coach in sprints and hurdles.
Stephen Campbell Coach High Jump Middle Distance & Distance Cross-Country
Stephen Campbell has been coaching with the Kelvin Clippers since 2013. He is a former University of Manitoba Bison Athletics runner and still runs in competitive events across the city. Mr Campbell provides athletes with well planned and developmentally appropriate training program in all disciplines he coaches, but has particular expertise in the middle & long distance running events.
Christine Wach Coach Hurdles
Christine Wach has developed many Divisional champions & Provincial champion hurdlers in her time at Kelvin. Her experience, knowledge of the sport and understanding of the technical and mental requirements for being a successful hurdler have made her hurdles program one of the most successful in the province.
